Sport Fishing Licenses

All anglers 16 years and older must have a valid Mexican Sport Fishing License to fish from a boat in Cabo San Lucas.

Who Needs One?

Every person aboard the vessel who is fishing or assisting in fishing. Children under 16 are exempt but must be accompanied by a licensed adult.

How Much?

Daily licenses cost approximately $20-$25 USD depending on the exchange rate. Weekly, monthly, and annual passes are also available.

How to Obtain Your License

Purchase Online (Recommended)

You can purchase your license in advance through the official FONMAR website. This saves time on the morning of your charter.

Purchase at the Marina

Most days, licenses can be purchased at the FONMAR office on the main marina dock near the cruise ship terminal. However, lines can be long in the morning.
